CRM for Chimney Sweeps

Every flue you sweep kept on record — liner, fuel, inspection level and what the camera found — so the fall rush runs on last year's notes, not on memory.

Free forever for up to 3 users. Paid plans from $199 a month.

What goes wrong, and what we do about it

A sweep's year is lopsided. Nobody thinks about the chimney in July, and on the first cold evening everyone lights a fire and calls at once. The season is too short to waste a visit on a hearth that was burning the night before or a flue you know nothing about. And the sweep is half the job: the other half is what you found — glazed creosote, a cracked tile, a missing cap — and whether the customer ever gets a report and a quote for it.

  • The problem

The first cold snap fills the phone for a month, and in midsummer the brushes sit in the van.

    In Kompot.ai

Keep the date of the last sweep in a field on the customer. In late summer a scheduled workflow messages everyone swept the year before with your online booking page, so the early weeks of the season fill before the rush.

  • The problem

You arrive to sweep and the stove was burning last night, or the hearth is blocked by furniture.

    In Kompot.ai

When the job is booked, a workflow sends the customer your preparation message: no fire for a full day beforehand, the hearth cleared, pets shut away. The reply lands in the same conversation, so you know they read it.

  • The problem

A buyer's agent needs a level-two inspection report by Friday and the photos are on the sweep's phone.

    In Kompot.ai

Camera stills of the flue, the crown and the cap are added to the job on site. The office fills in a report from a document template with the customer's details merged in, exports the PDF and emails it with the photos.

  • The problem

A cracked flue tile turns a sweep into a relining quote, and the customer says they will think about it.

    In Kompot.ai

Open an opportunity for the relining and send an estimate built from your price list. You see whether it was viewed, and a workflow raises a call-back task so the quote is chased before the customer starts burning again.

  • The problem

Nobody remembers what last year's sweep found: liner type, creosote build-up, which appliance vents where.

    In Kompot.ai

Each flue has its custom fields on the customer — appliance, fuel, liner, height, inspection level, creosote stage. Last year's job with its notes and photos sits beside them, so this year's sweep starts with a comparison.

How one order runs

From a pre-winter booking to a swept, inspected flue

  1. Booked before the burn season

The customer takes a slot on your booking page or calls. You ask which appliance and fuel, and how long since the last sweep, and it is saved on their record.

  2. Preparation message

The job is assigned to a sweep with an arrival window, and a workflow sends the instructions: no fire the day before, a clear hearth.

  3. Sweep and inspection

The sweep brushes the flue, runs the inspection at the agreed level and adds photos of the liner, crown and cap to the job with notes on creosote.

  4. Report, invoice, repair quote

The customer receives the report and an invoice with a payment link. If the liner or crown needs work, an estimate follows as a separate opportunity.

What you keep on record

Flues and appliances
Open fireplace, insert or stove, the fuel burned, liner type and flue height, as fields on the customer.
Inspection level and findings
Which level was carried out and what was found — creosote stage, cracked tiles, crown and cap.
Flue photos by year
Camera stills attached to each year's job, so changes in the liner can be seen side by side.
Inspection reports
The report generated from your template and exported as a PDF, stored with the customer.

Where an AI employee steps in for Chimney Sweeps

  • The moment

On a cold evening a customer calls: smoke is coming back into the room from the stove.

The voice agent asks which appliance it is, when the flue was last swept and where the house is, and repeats your instruction to let the fire die down. It transfers the call to you if you take urgent visits; the summary is saved and a workflow creates a task.

  • The moment

A real estate agent writes that a sale needs a level-two inspection before closing.

The AI employee asks for the property address, how many flues and fireplaces there are and the closing date. The details go onto a new contact with an opportunity, and the office gets a task to find a slot before that date.

  • The moment

A customer asks on WhatsApp when the chimney was last swept and whether it is due.

The AI employee checks the date of the last sweep in the customer's fields and answers. If a burning season has gone by since, it shares the booking page so the customer can choose a slot before the calendar fills up.

How digital employees work

Questions owners ask

Can I record the inspection level and what I found in each flue?
Yes. Add custom fields for inspection level, liner type and creosote stage, and write the findings in the job notes with photos. A house with a fireplace and a stove flue gets a set of fields for each.
Can I give the customer a written report with photos?
Yes. Set up your report as a document template; the customer's name and address are merged in, you add the findings, and it exports to PDF. Photos from the job go out in the same email or message.
How do I fill the calendar before the fall rush?
Send an email campaign in summer to the segment of customers swept last year, with a link to your online booking page. A scheduled workflow can also message each customer as the date of their last sweep comes around.
Who takes the calls on the first cold week of the year?
With the Full Service plan every call is picked up by a voice agent that asks about the appliance and the last sweep and can transfer to a person. An AI employee in messengers answers from your instructions and creates the contact and a task.
