What goes wrong, and what we do about it
Pest control is rarely one visit. A treatment plan sets out an initial service, a follow-up once the eggs have hatched, and then a quarterly plan that keeps the customer on the books. The money is in the visits after the first, and those are the ones that slip: the follow-up nobody booked, the free re-treatment that was promised but never written down, the plan that ran out in winter when the ants were gone and nobody called.
The problem
The follow-up bed bug treatment is never booked and the customer calls back furious.
In Kompot.ai
When the initial treatment job is marked done, a workflow creates a task to schedule the follow-up and messages the customer that it is coming. The second visit is a job of its own, so it sits on the calendar instead of in a technician's memory.
The problem
A customer claims a free re-treatment and nobody can tell whether the guarantee still applies.
In Kompot.ai
The signed service agreement with its guarantee terms is stored as a document, and the date the guarantee ends is a field on the customer. The office opens the record, sees the last treatment and that date, and books the callback or explains why it is not covered.
The problem
The technician cannot say what was applied at this address last time.
In Kompot.ai
Each job carries notes on the target pest, the areas treated and the products applied, with photos of the activity and the bait stations. The next technician reads the earlier jobs on the customer's page before deciding what to use.
The problem
The customer has not prepared the home, and the treatment is called off at the door.
In Kompot.ai
Keep prep sheets for bed bugs, fleas and fumigation as public knowledge base articles. A workflow sends the link by SMS or email once the job is booked, and a saved reply covers the usual questions about pets, children and food left out.
The problem
Quarterly plans lapse in the off-season because nobody watches the renewal.
In Kompot.ai
Bill the plan as a subscription invoice and keep its renewal date on the customer. A scheduled workflow raises a task ahead of that date and sends the customer a reminder, so the perimeter treatment is back on the calendar before the ants are.
How one order runs
From an inspection to a treatment plan that renews
The call and the inspection
The customer describes what they have seen, and an inspection is booked as a job. The technician records the pest, the entry points and the conducive conditions, with photos.
Treatment plan and agreement
The estimate sets out the initial service, the follow-up and the ongoing plan. After approval the service agreement with its guarantee is signed by e-signature.
Treatment and follow-up
The technician notes the products applied and the areas treated on the job. Closing it triggers the task to book the follow-up visit.
Plan billing
The first service is invoiced with a payment link, and the quarterly plan runs as a subscription invoice until its renewal date.

Where an AI employee steps in for Pest Control Companies
The moment
A caller has found what look like bed bugs and wants someone out today.
The voice agent asks what they have seen and in which rooms, whether it is a house or an apartment, and takes the address. Following your instructions it explains that an inspection comes first, the summary is saved, and a workflow creates a task to book it.
The moment
A plan customer messages that the ants are back a week after the perimeter treatment.
The AI employee looks up the customer's record, sees the last treatment and the plan, and creates a task for a re-treatment visit. It tells the customer the office will confirm a time, and hands over to a person if the customer is upset.
The moment
A customer asks on WhatsApp whether the dog can stay in the house during the treatment.
The AI employee answers from your prep sheet in the knowledge base: how long pets stay out and what to cover. If the question goes beyond what the sheet says, it passes the conversation to your office instead of guessing.
Questions owners ask
- Can I record which products were applied at each visit?
- Yes. Technicians write the product, the amount and the areas treated in the job's notes and attach photos, and the notes stay in the customer's history. Kompot.ai keeps these records for you; it does not file regulatory reports.
- How do quarterly or monthly service plans work?
- The plan is billed as a subscription invoice, monthly or yearly, and its renewal date is saved on the customer. Each service visit is a job on the calendar, and a scheduled workflow reminds the office when the next round is due to be booked.
- How are free re-treatments under guarantee handled?
- Book the callback as a job with its own type, so it shows as a re-treatment and not as a new sale. The guarantee end date on the customer tells the office whether the visit is covered, and callbacks stay visible in the job table instead of hiding among paid visits.
- Can commercial accounts such as restaurants be handled too?
- Yes. Set the restaurant up as a contact, sign its service agreement by e-signature and book the monthly visits as jobs; the technician's notes and photos of each station go on the job. The signed documents export to PDF when the manager needs them for a health inspection.
