Sales
CRM for small business: customer database and sales pipeline
Keep customers, opportunities and tasks in the same system. Import your contact list from a spreadsheet, follow each opportunity through its pipeline, and set who on the team can see and change what.
What it does
Customer details tend to live in a spreadsheet, in a phone and in somebody's head. Then a customer calls back, and nobody remembers what price was named or who promised to call. In Kompot.ai each customer has a record with your own fields, notes and files. Each possible sale is an opportunity that sits at a stage of a pipeline. Each thing to do is a task with an assignee and a due date, so it is clear who owes the customer the next step.
Contacts with your own fields
Every customer is a contact with its own record. Beyond the usual details, you create custom fields for what matters in your trade: the type of property, the car model, how the customer found you.
Import from CSV or Excel
Your existing customer list comes in from a CSV or Excel file, so nobody retypes it by hand. On the Business plan we migrate your data for you.
Opportunities in pipelines
Each possible sale is an opportunity at a stage of a pipeline. Open a pipeline as a board to see what sits at every stage, or as a table when you want a plain list of opportunities.
Tasks with an assignee and a date
A task has assignees and a due date, so it is clear who does it and by when. Break a larger task into subtasks, and add watchers who need to follow it without doing the work themselves.
Notes and files on any record
Write a note or attach a file to a contact, an opportunity, a task or any other record. What was agreed with the customer stays next to the customer, not in a private chat or a notebook.
Roles and permissions
Each person on the team gets a role, and permissions set what that role can see and change. A new hire works with what they need, and the rest stays closed to them.
How it works
Bring in your customers
Import the contact list from a CSV or Excel file, or add contacts by hand. Create the custom fields you use to describe a customer.
Add the team and set roles
Add your people and give each of them a role. The role's permissions decide what a person can see and change.
Put every sale in a pipeline
Create an opportunity for each possible sale and move it from stage to stage as it advances. The board and the table show where things stand.
Assign the next step
Turn each promise to a customer into a task with an assignee and a due date. Leave notes and files on the record so a colleague sees the full picture.
Good to know
- It runs in a browser, on a computer or on a phone. There is no separate app to download.
- Import takes CSV and Excel files only. Our team migrates data for you on the Business plan; on Free you import it yourself.
- The Free plan has a cap on users and includes no AI and no telephony, so calls and AI replies will not appear in the CRM on that plan.
Which plan includes it
Contacts, opportunities and the other core tools are in the Free plan: $0, up to 3 users, without AI, telephony or setup. Business costs $199 a month for up to 10 users, and we migrate your data and reconnect the integrations you use. Full Service costs $499 a month for up to 25 users and includes every feature, AI employees, telephony and setup by our team.
Compare plansQuestions and answers
- Can I move my customer list over from a spreadsheet?
- Yes. Save the list as a CSV or Excel file and import it into contacts. If you would rather not do it yourself, the Business plan includes migration of your data by our team.
- Can I control what each employee sees?
- Yes. The system has roles and permissions. You give each person a role, and the permissions of that role set which records and actions are open to that person.
- Do messages and calls show up on the customer's record?
- They do once you connect the channels. Email, SMS, Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, website chat and phone calls land in a single log per customer. A message from an unknown number or address creates a new contact. Telephony is part of Full Service.
- Can I email a group of customers from the CRM?
- Yes. You choose a segment of your contacts and send an email campaign to that segment, so a letter about a seasonal service goes only to the customers it concerns.
