CRM for Boat Cleaning & Detailing Businesses
Recurring washdowns, wax jobs and bottom cleaning in one system — with the dock, the slip and the gate code on every boat, and a monthly invoice that sends itself.
Free forever for up to 3 users. Paid plans from $199 a month.
What goes wrong, and what we do about it
Detailing boats means walking the same docks again and again: the same hulls washed every other week, a compound and wax in spring, the diver under the waterline once a month. The owners are rarely there, so nobody sees the work unless you show it, and nobody notices a skipped wash until the salt is baked on. The money is in the recurring plans, and those are the first thing to slip when the schedule lives in one person's phone.
The problem
A boat on an every-other-week wash plan gets skipped, and the owner notices before you do.
In Kompot.ai
A scheduled workflow creates the wash task for each plan customer on its cycle, with an assignee and a due date. A wash that is overdue shows under the person responsible, so a skipped boat surfaces in the office the same day.
The problem
The crew stands at a locked dock gate because the code is in an old text from the owner.
In Kompot.ai
The marina, dock, slip number, gate code and where the water and shore power are sit in custom fields on the owner. The crew opens the job on a phone at the gate and reads them, along with notes such as a canvas cover that has to go back on.
The problem
The owner lives in another state and has no idea whether the wax job was done.
In Kompot.ai
The crew adds before and after photos to the job from a phone. When the job moves to done, a workflow messages the owner, and you can send the photos from the same conversation. The owner sees the shine on the hull without driving to the dock.
The problem
Wash plans are invoiced late because someone has to add up the month's visits first.
In Kompot.ai
Bill each plan as a subscription invoice, weekly or monthly, with a payment link. One-off work — oxidation removal, a teak clean, an interior detail — goes out as a separate estimate and turns into an invoice once the owner approves it.
The problem
Spring detail requests all arrive in the same two weeks, and prices are quoted by eye.
In Kompot.ai
The boat's length, hull color and type are on the owner and the per-foot rate is in your price list, so an estimate is built in a few minutes. Each request is an opportunity on a board, and you see which quotes were opened and which still need a call.
How one order runs
From a detail request to a boat on a wash plan
The owner asks for a quote
A message or a call is saved under the owner. You record the boat's length, type and hull color and where it is kept: marina, dock and slip.
Estimate for the first detail
Build the estimate from your per-foot price list: washdown, compound and wax, brightwork, interior. The owner approves it online without coming down to the dock.
The crew does the boat
The job shows the slip, the gate code and the time window. The crew adds before and after photos from a phone and marks the job done.
Invoice and the recurring plan
The first detail is paid through the payment link. If the owner takes a wash plan, it is billed as a subscription invoice and a recurring task raises each wash.
What you keep on record
- Boat and where it lives
- Length, type, hull color, marina, dock, slip number and gate code, as custom fields on the owner.
- Wash plan
- The plan the owner is on, how often the boat is washed and the date of the last compound and wax.
- Before and after photos
- Photos of the hull, deck and brightwork on each job, with the crew's notes on scratches or chalky gelcoat.
- Per-foot price list
- Washdown, compound and wax, teak cleaning, metal polish, interior detail and diver's bottom cleaning by boat length.

Where an AI employee steps in for Boat Cleaning & Detailing Businesses
The moment
An owner texts on Friday: guests are coming on Sunday, can the boat be washed tomorrow?
The AI employee finds the owner's record and wash plan, replies that the office will confirm the extra visit, and creates a task for your scheduler with the boat's slip and the day requested.
The moment
A new owner asks in the website chat what a full detail costs for a center console.
The AI employee asks for the boat's length, hull color and marina, explains from your knowledge base what the detail includes and how the per-foot rate works, then saves a contact and opens an opportunity for a written estimate.
The moment
An owner calls after hours to say the dock gate code has changed.
The voice agent takes the new code and the owner's name, and the call summary is saved on the record. A workflow notifies the crew lead, so the field is updated before the next wash.
Questions owners ask
- Can it schedule recurring washes on its own?
- A scheduled workflow creates a task for each wash on the cycle you set and can message the owner beforehand. For visits that need a time window, a crew and an address, you create a job. Billing for the plan runs separately, as a subscription invoice.
- Can I bill wash plans monthly without building each invoice?
- Yes. A plan's subscription invoice goes out weekly, monthly or yearly with a link for paying by card through Stripe or PayPal. Work outside the plan is invoiced on its own, and a plan that falls behind on payment is flagged as overdue.
- How do owners see the work when they are not at the dock?
- Photos added to the job stay on the owner's record. You send them by email or messenger from the same conversation, and a workflow can tell the owner when the job is marked done. Photos are not published anywhere by themselves.
- Can my divers and wash crews use it on the dock?
- Yes. It runs in a phone's browser, so a crew member opens the day's jobs, reads the slip and gate code, adds photos and notes and changes the job's stage. A role can keep crew members out of invoices, reports and settings.
